GREEN THUMB

Dad and I went to his community garden plot this evening. I planted one row of lettuce, one row of radishes and two rows of carrots. Sewing a row of seeds is like performing surgery on the ground. There’s a procedure you have to follow. You can’t be throwing things about all willy-nilly. You cut a line, you disperse the seeds inside the rut and then you mend the row. That’s my favorite part. The suture.

I’ve also concluded that centipedes are actually little dragons.
